Josie Curtis, and Sharon ... Sometimes there are just no words that can truly express how sorry we are for the loss of your dear husband and father. My many fond memories of Al are strong; many times thinking of my days working with him at Canadian Tire #286. Al was always kind and thoughtful to me. We shared many good times together. I recall one conversation especially well; he was departing work . The day was November 7th, 1978. As he departed for the day he said something like "If you and Sandy are going to have your first baby on my birthday you better hurry up!" At 11:57:20 pm on November 7th our first son was born. I recall thinking of Al as I looked at the clock. We barely made it...with less than three minutes to spare! So each November 7th since I think of Al. He was an exceptional guy in so many ways!!! My deepest sympathy.
