Sharon Beverly Robertson (nee Marsh) passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Sharon was born at Langenburg, Saskatchewan on December 19, 1947 to parents Iva Jean and Harry Lester Marsh. She spent her younger years on the family farm near Spy Hill, Saskatchewan where she attended school. The family left the farm and moved to Brandon, Manitoba for a short time before settling in Birtle where she completed her schooling. She met and married her husband, Terry Robertson, of 52 years in 1966. They moved to Brandon for approximately six years before moving back to Birtle for three years after which they moved to Hamiota. This is where they lived and raised their two children Shaun and Melinda. Sharon was a devoted mother but still found time to work part time jobs while the children were in school. Finally in 1985 she enrolled in a course in Cosmetology from which she graduated with honours. Sharon opened her own salon which she operated until her and Terry retired in December 2000. At that time they moved to their cottage at Sandy Lake where they remained until 2013. After leaving the lake they moved to Rapid City where they resided until her death. Sharon loved the outdoors and was usually first in line to try anything. Her main passions were all water sports, ATVing and snowmobiling as well as gardening and hiking. Sharon and Terry loved to travel and spent several winters in Arizona before she became ill in 2017. She is survived by her loving husband Terry, daughter Melinda (Bryan) Tannahill, daughter-in-law Shelley Robertson, three grandsons Kyle Robertson, Brett and Ryan Tannahill, sisters Hazel, Judy and Karen, brothers Ken and Keith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Shaun, her parents, two sisters Norma and Marlene. The Ceremony to Celebrate Sharon's Life was held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Memories Chapel with Joyce Marsh officiating. Urn bearers were her grandsons Kyle, Brett and Ryan.
