Obituary for Carl Frank Henry Driedger

Carl Frank Henry Driedger was born at the Brandon General Hospital as it was then called, on September 9th, 1963 to Henry and Tina Driedger. He was given the name Henry in honour of his Dad and Frank after his mom’s close cousin Frank Dyck. Carl grew up in a loving home where God was honoured. He enjoyed the foster kids that mom and dad looked after. Carl played minor baseball as a young boy and grew up helping dad when he worked on the farm. He graduated from Crocus Plains Regional Secondary school and immediately thereafter began work at Macey Foods where he worked until it ceased operations. Carl then became a janitor at McDiarmid Drive Alliance church where he worked for over 30 years. In recent months he also worked as a janitor at the Brandon School Division Administration Office. Carl enjoyed travelling. He was fortunate enough to accompany mom and dad to Germany where he met mom’s side of the family for the first time. Carl also traveled to Disney World as well as to Fort St John a number times to visit family. He became ill in the last few months and passed away on Wednesday, April 13th at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 58. He leaves to mourn his brothers Stan (Dori), niece Rebecca, Harold (Annie), nephews Mike (Dorothy), Dustin (Nacia, grandniece Ellidy) and niece Maeghan as well as uncles, aunts and cousins.
