Dennis William McDougall, age 63 years, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Dennis was born in Killarney, Manitoba on January 16, 1957 to Angus and Isabel McDougall. Early in life he became an avid baseball player participating in many leagues in Killarney and then in Brandon when the family moved there in 1967. Dennis attended Alexandra Elementary School and Harrison Junior High prior to entering the workforce at an early age. He worked in various jobs from construction to employment that had him interacting with the public. After trying his hand at many different aspects of employment, he returned to school at ACC in Brandon and launched his career as an electronics technician, which was his lifelong dream and it's been said "if it has a schematic Dennis could fix it". Dennis passed his time playing baseball in many leagues; he was a fixture at every tournament and was instrumental organizing them. After Dennis suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2014, he spent many months recovering and it appeared he was on his way to a normal life however, the aftereffects never allowed him to return to doing the things he loved. Dennis is survived by his brother Gary (Maureen) McDougall, sister Carolyn (Bruce) Park and nephews Blake and Blaine. He was predeceased by his parents Angus and Isabel McDougall. The family will cherish Dennis’ memory privately. Donations in memory of Dennis may be made to a charity of one's choice.
