It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Lee Henderson on April 25, 2022. Lee was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Irma Henderson. She is survived by her brother Jim (Carol) and niece Maggie (Robbie) of Winnipeg and niece Dr. Anna Henderson DVM of Calgary. Lee was born in Brandon on April 3, 1952. She attended Brandon University and graduated with a general degree, and also completed a diploma program at a Brandon business school. For several years, Lee worked in the laundry services and then in the library at the Brandon Mental Health Center. Lee was an active member of Brandon’s Central United Church and a member of a variety of Community Support Services groups. Lee often described the fishing trips, camping trips and craft workshops she experienced through these groups. Lee enjoyed attending performances given by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and socializing with friends and family. She was especially happy to have recently attended the wedding of her niece Maggie. The family would like to thank Jo-Ann Pasklivich, her Community Mental Health Worker, who worked with Lee for 30 years, for her mentorship and kindness. A graveside memorial service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Brandon on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Lee may be made to Westman Crisis Services, c/o BRHC Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
