GAGNE: Elizabeth “Anne” (nee Chudzik). We are deeply saddened to announce that Anne Gagne passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at the age of 79 years, after surviving Covid twice. Anne was born on September 21, 1942 in Brandon to Nellie (nee Pacula) and Daniel Chudzik. She was predeceased by both of her parents. She attended David Livingstone School (where she was given an award as outstanding athlete) until Grade IX and then St. Michael’s Academy. She also took piano and ballet lessons. Anne was a long-time member of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church and then with St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church and CWL. She was fortunate to spend her last six years in Hillcrest Nursing Home where she received excellent, loving care. Anne leaves to mourn her loving brother and sister-in-law, John and Pauline, her three nieces and a nephew: Jacqueline and her son Christian, Joanne and her son Jordan, John Daniel (and his wife, Yoko) and Jeannine (and her husband, Ben). She is also remembered by her special cousin Jean Exley (in Toronto), her extended Patsula family, Marlene and Ted Trelka (in Winnipeg) and her distant cousin, Beata (in Opole, Poland). Anne was always a very social and caring person who loved being with people. We are extremely thankful to the staff and professionals at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home for their love and care. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 327 – 4th Street, Brandon on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Fr. John Okosun as celebrant.
