Obituary

GOMPF: Garnet Ross Gompf passed away at Brandon Regional Health Centre with family at his side on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 76 years. Garnet will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nora Gompf, children Tim (Judy) Gompf, Tammy (Darcy) Hollingsworth and Trevor (Jodie) Gompf, as well as 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate Garnet's life will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Lake Rodeo Arena. Dress will be casual and all attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs. The family encourages social distancing and will be following recommended health practices. Interment will follow at Johnson's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Garnet may be made to the Oak Lake and Area Lions Club, Box 197, Oak Lake, MB, R0M 1P0.

My deepest sympathies to Nora, Tim, Trevor, Tammy and families. I have fond memories of Garnet; he always had a way of making people laugh. I always enjoyed visits to the ranch and our friendly arguments.

He was always a great guy to visit with always had a smile and so friendly, he will be in our heart forever.
