It breaks our hearts to announce the passing of George Henery Huitema, age 93 years, of Fairview Home, formerly of Nesbitt, on Saturday, May 22, 2021. George was predeceased by his soulmate, love of his life and wife, May in July 2016. He will be missed so much by his only daughter Linda Johnston (Brian Whiting); his granddaughter Holly Dalrymple (Martin) and great granddaughter, his “Little Sweetheart” Harlyn Dalrymple; grandson, who shared his love for heavy equipment, Dilan (Alissa) Johnston and great grandson Walker that he only got to meet once but sure would have enjoyed his smile too. He is also survived by his sister Lucie Ackles and brother Theo Huitema of Christina Lake, BC; his god son/nephew Kelly Lindley (Lynda) and sons Keuran and Dion that took him on many adventures; his niece Anne (Jim) Drake of Rossland, BC who he thought the world of; as well as many more nieces and nephews. Family was everything to Dad; we all were his everything and felt very much loved by him. George will be missed by many and was an active member in the Nesbitt Community where he lived a full and happy life!
