Fond childhood memories of Sundays at St. Andrew's Presbyterian would not be complete without thinking of "Joan and Cece," or to us as youngsters then, Mr. & Mrs. Roberts. I can still picture both Joan and Cece in the Choir Loft, gowned and holding their hymn books to guide us in the musical praise. Joan was also one of the ladies responsible for my own training in the kitchen, once I was old enough to help out at Church fowl suppers, and she was a wonderful and patient teacher! And there was always laughter, straight from the heart, when Joan was in the mix - when I picture her, she is always smiling. Well, what lady wouldn't if they were married to someone as kind and warm as Cece; he was such a gentleman. They made a beautiful pair, and will be two shining stars in Heaven's array. My sisters (Anne and Susan) and I will remember both the Roberts with great, great fondness, and with gratitude for having grown up in the St. Andrews community of which they were both an integral part. Our sincere Condolences to all the family, and may you know how much your folks were adored.

My sincere condolences to you all, family and friends. I have so many fond memories of my “Auntie Joan”. I am so happy we reconnected after many years when you picked out my daughter as being someone special. Coincidence? I don’t think so. It was meant to be that we saw each other again. I will keep those memories close to my heart and I hope you rest in peace. Love Marion

Laurel and family, my heart aches for your loss and selfishly for my loss of this wonderful woman. So many happy memories of your Mom as we grew up together. Playing the piano to a group, being Mom to many and still working for others all the while being a happy, strong soul guiding others. I was so amazed by her ways, her capabilities balancing her world and the worlds of her family and the love she showed to everyone around her. All of my memories of your Mom are warm, happy and fun. Loves to you all. Cathy Howell.
