Obituary for Kenneth Gordon Shold

SHOLD: Kenneth Gordon sadly lost his battle with cancer and peacefully passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Ken was born in Camrose, Alberta to Gordon and Julie Shold on November 11, 1947. He grew up and went to school in Camrose until he ventured on to apprentice as a denturist in Calgary, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg. Brandon, Manitoba is where he made his home and practiced as a denturist for the majority of his 52 years in that field. Ken owned and operated Centennial Denture Clinic for 37 years, and finished his career with the team at Precision Dental Clinic. He loved his career as a denturist; it was truly his passion. Over the years Ken enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was an avid sports fan, he also liked listening to music and was especially fond of Elvis Presley. He loved to travel and made yearly trips to Mexico with his cousin Paul. Ken met and married Arlene Shold (nee Anderson) and together they had two girls. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Kara (Chad) Burton of Minnedosa and Sheena (Shawn) Mackie of Brandon; five grandchildren Callie, McKenzie, Ty, Jace and Sawyer; and his younger brother Dean, his wife Pauline and their daughter Amanda. His family will continue to love and remember him always. A private graveside service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery with Arlene Robertson officiating. Donations in memory of Ken may be made to Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
