Obituary for Kimberly Julia Jacobson

Our hearts have been shattered as we announce the sudden passing of our dear loving sister, sister-in-law, auntie, great aunt, cousin and friend Kimberly Julia Jacobson, of Brandon, Man., on December 27, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Left to mourn deeply her very felt absence are her sister Debbie (Roger) of Winnipeg, sister Mary (Angie) of Winnipeg, brother Ritchie (Corrine) of Brandon, brother Danny of Boulder City, Nevada; along with her beloved nieces and nephews Chad (Chelsie) of Saskatoon, Warren of Burnaby, B.C., Jeff of Winnipeg, Jill (Ryan) of Brandon, Sarah (Chris) of Winnipeg, Michael, and Mark, both of Brandon, and Danielle and Seth, of Boulder City, NV.; great nieces and great nephews Emma, Everly, Bennett, and Kennedy; as well as her cousins Billy and Michael of Kenora, Ont., and Sheryl, Terry, Garry and Ricky of Las Vegas. Kim was pre-deceased recently by our brother Teddy, of Calgary, in October 2017. Kimmie graduated from Eldorado High School in Las Vegas in 1976 with very high grades. Her bright mind and extremely creative flair for all things allowed her family and friends to enjoy her being “cook and baker extraordinaire”, her incredible talent as an artist, she wrote poetry, designed her own greeting cards, were just a few of her many gifts. She was a cat and bird lover, and spent a lot of time at her favourite place, The Riverbank Discovery Centre, where she was at most peace. Kim’s deep, deep love of family was so very important to her, no matter how far away they lived. She relished phone calls, in person visits, texts, videos, and even jokes sent by family members and friends. Kim’s devotion to her church, was of major importance to her as well. The families and friends of The Bible Baptist Church of Brandon were indeed her other family, who were, without pause, always there for her. Due to current Covid restrictions, a private service will be held at Memories Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Kim, can be made to any animal/no kill shelter.

Be still, and know that I am God
Casting all your care upon him,
For he carter for you.

This was one of Kim”s favourite verses.

You’re home now Kim, with Mom and Dad
