Obituary for Lucien Gislain Prosper Perreaux

Lucien Gislain Prosper Perreaux, formerly of Redvers, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with Irene and Denis by his side on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.

Lucien was born August 15, 1936 near Frys, Saskatchewan and completed his schooling in Bellegarde, Saskatchewan. Born and raised farming, Lucien carried on the family tradition, as a mixed farming venture with cattle and grain until he retired to Redvers, Saskatchewan. Lucien especially enjoyed summer on the farm with seeding and harvest and was usually found with a toothpick in his mouth. He also enjoyed raising his children, spending time camping, trapping for fur, fishing, curling, playing cards and listening to country music. Grandchildren held a special place in his heart – he loved seeing them!

Lucien will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Eveline; daughter Irene, grandsons Stefan, Alex (Sam) and Shawn (Jenn); son Denis (Julie), grandchildren Danielle (Eric) and Justin (Brittany); numerous great grandchildren; siblings Anne Marie, Marie-Rose and Johnny; siblings-in-law Albine, Zoe, Albert, Emile, Emilie, Leon, Lorraine, Lucille, Albert, Pete, Gloria, Marcel and Wilbert; as well as extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his sons Ronald and Richard; brother Andy, sisters Mathilde and Paulette; in-laws Lucien, Albert, Lydia and Roger; and nephew Robert. A Special thank you to Fairview Home for the great personal care and to the staff at the dialysis unit at Brandon Regional Health Centre. The family will cherish Lucien’s memory privately.
