Lynda Dawne McLachlan, age 75 years, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. Lynda was born in Winnipeg on January 24, 1945 and spent her early years on the family farm in the Tarbolton District. She attended Spring Valley School, Bradwardine School and Rivers Collegiate. Lynda moved to Winnipeg in the early seventies and worked there until her children Debbie and Kevin were born. Lynda spent many happy hours at Sandy Lake and Brandon when the kids were growing up. After many years in a couple of different nursing homes, Lynda moved into Fairview Home. She loved to do puzzles and was a master at word search. She also enjoyed the various recreational and musical activities. She enjoyed Fairview Home and we all were thankful that the staff were so good to her. Lynda was pre-deceased by her husband Jim, dad George Seens, mum Margaret Seens and brother Ron Seens. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Debbie McLachlan (Rob) and Kevin McLachlan; grandchildren Abbey, Alex, Emily, Matthew, Ella, and Micah; brothers Bud (Linda) and Ray (Pat); sister-in-law Josie (Don); and many nieces and nephews and their families. The family will cherish Lynda’s memory privately and she will be laid to rest at Tarbolton Church Cemetery. At this time, we would like to thank Fairview Home and everyone responsible for doing their best for Lynda, given the terrible circumstances of COVID-19, with which they were dealing.
