Obituary for Margaret Howell (Styrvoky)
HOWELL (nee Styrvoky): Margaret, age 89 years, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Marg will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Roxanne Forsyth (Doug) and Renee Howell (Dean); five grandchildren Ben Forsyth (Jacklyn), Matthew Forsyth (Katherine), Graham Forsyth (Aislinn), Dawn Archer (Ethan) and Ty Archer (Amanda); a very precious great grandson Calvin Forsyth; sister Lillian Arvay, sister-in-law Yvonne Curtis, brother-in-law Len Howell (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews.
Born February 14, 1931, Marg grew up on a farm near Esterhazy, SK. Marg moved to Brandon where she met and married Don Howell who predeceased her in 1995. Marg spent her career working as a NA at the Assiniboine Centre.
One of the most important things to Mom was spending time with her family, whether it was in Brandon, Alberta, BC, or traveling. Mom saw a lot of the world through touring and cruising with friends and family. Mom also enjoyed competitive games like Scrabble, cribbage, golf and going to the Legion meat draw. Mom accomplished two hole-in-ones and averaged 100 plus golf games per season. For 60 years, Mom lived in the same neighbourhood, where she enjoyed many friendships.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date when it is safe to gather together.
