Obituary for Mary Elaine Hardy

In Loving Memory of

Mary Hardy

Beloved wife of the late Raymond Hardy

Beloved Mom of Rick, Doreen and Shirley

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Mary Elaine Hardy (nee Sinnaeve).

Mom passed away peacefully at Bren-Del-Win Lodge in Deloraine, Manitoba where she resided on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 86 years.

Left to treasure all of the wonderful memories are her children:
Rick (Marilyn) Hardy, Doreen (Marc) Alain, and Shirley (George) Garai, as well as her eight grandchildren and sixteen great grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

Those Mom has left to mourn include her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Paul Beaudry, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Janice Hardy and sister-in-law Lorna Sinnaeve.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Raymond Douglas Hardy in 2008 and her brother Maurice Sinnaeve in 1991 as well as her parents Modest and Martha Sinnaeve.

Mary was born on October 27, 1933 in Deloraine, Manitoba to Modest and Martha Sinnaeve of Deloraine, Manitoba. Mary attended Otter School and Sherwood School and went to work for a number of farms around Medora, Manitoba in her younger years.

She married Raymond Douglas Hardy of Deloraine, Manitoba on October 17, 1952.

She loved to tell her stories of her youth and made everyone laugh and sing when she brought her harmonica out with her brother on a Saturday night. She enjoyed and loved cooking, playing cards and domino games but especially reading.

She had a great love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed time spent at the family cabin at Oak Lake Resort, and visits with her sister and brother–in-law Margaret and Paul Beaudry. She also enjoyed visits from her many dear friends locally in Deloraine, Manitoba.

She always had a smile for everybody and everyone who left after a visit had a smile too.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

For those who desire, and in memory of Mom (Mary), donations may be made to the Bren-Del-Win Lodge, Box 447, Deloraine, MB R0M 0M0.
