Obituary for Rick Wall
It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Rick Wall.
Rick and his wife Cathy were blessed to have enjoyed 34 years of marriage. Rick always said the one thing he always wanted out of his life was a family. Rick and Cathy were blessed with three loving sons Andrew, Phillip, and Mathew. They enjoyed many years of rural living and later living in Minto.
It was a joy for him to watch his three boys grow into the men they are today. Rick and Cathy were so excited when their girls entered the fold. Andrew married Jen in 2017 and Phillip married Jennifer in 2019. Rick was overjoyed when Andrew and Jen added their little boy Jackson to our family in 2019. Jackson quickly took over his Grampa’s heart.
Rick and Cathy moved to Morden for four years when Rick made a career change. They enjoyed their time there and renewed their love for camping. They were very lucky to have extended family around them while they lived there. Rick and Cathy were so lucky to have enjoyed many trips together over the years. Rick loved kayaking, camping, quadding and hiking. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
They recently moved to Brandon and were lucky to find “family” amongst their new neighbourhood.
Rick is survived by his immediate family, parents Dave and Betty Wall, brothers Ron (Deb), Rob (Denise), mother and father-in-law Roy and Irene Jackson, brother-in-law Bryan (Fran) Jackson, sisters-in-law Barb (Dale) Sharp, Carol (Garry) Fleming and many nieces and nephews. Rick loved you all.
A private celebration has been held in their home.
