My condolances to Lorna and the family. Vern was a part of my early life growing up in Strathclair. His dad was named after my dad and they were best of friends for a lot of years, so my sister Charlotte and I spent a lot of time with the Franks family. I have pictures in my mother's photo albums of the two families fishing and picnicking together. After I moved to Winnipeg I often stopped at the Radio Shack in Brandon just to say "hi" and catch up with Vern. He was always happy and cheerful and very happy to see me.

Sorry to hear of Vern’s passing. I will always have great memories of Vern, Blaine and Hugger coaching us in midget hockey. When Vern was working at Radio Shack you could always stop in and he would always find time to chat. He was a great friend and will be missed.

Sorry to hear of Vern's passing. The whole Frank's family were well respected in Strathclair. Vern's generous nature exemplified by his care for sister Shirley defined him. Our world is diminished. He was a good man.
