Obituary for Bambi Edwards (Berry)

Bambi Edwards (Berry)
Surrounded by family, Bambi Lynn MacDonald Edwards (nee Berry), of Brandon, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory on June 18, 1960, the family moved to Brandon when Bambi was 8 months old. Bambi worked as a Nurse's Aide at Central Park Lodge, then Manager at Dapper Dan's, before becoming an Education Assistant where she worked at Deloraine Elementary School, Oak Bluff School, and multiple schools within the Brandon School Division. An avid traveller, with a passion for working with children with special needs, Bambi was the cornerstone to Grambi's Groupies at the CIBC Run for the Cure in Brandon, Manitoba. When not working, or travelling, she loved spending time at her cabin at Pelican Lake, where many memories were made with family and friends. She especially loved her granddaughter, Mackayla (Grambi's girl). Bambi will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bradley Edwards; daughter Jamie-Lynn Leadbeater (Jess); step-son Geoffrey Edwards; granddaughter Mackayla Leadbeater; mother Karen Rodgers (Ted Niddrie); siblings Janice Connors (Dan), Jamie Berry (Kerry), Shawn Berry (Deb), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was predeceased by her father Robert Berry, step-father William Rodgers, step-son Mitchell Edwards and grandson Baxston Leadbeater. The Funeral Ceremony took place at First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with Rev. Dr. Dong-Ha Kim officiating.
