SPIESS: Ernest Mervyn, age 96 years, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hillcrest Place. Ernie will be missed by his wife of 70 years, Helen; children Shirley Howell, Connie Augustin and Glen Spiess; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ted and four sisters. A private family graveside service was held at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ernie may be made to the charity of your choice.

We knew Ernie from the time he worked at Stan's IGA. A pleasant and cheerful man. Always enjoyed a good visit at a craft show where he would have his wonderful wooden toys and items. Our thoughts are with you all.
