Obituary

RUSSELL: Robert Allen, age 82 years, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Born August 9, 1937 in Fleming, Saskatchewan, Robert began farming at a young age, and continued to do so until 1987. He then began his career as a janitor, working at both Boston Pizza and Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School. Robert was a passionate fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He also enjoyed time around a campfire visiting with family and friends. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife Wendy; sons Joe (Cindy), Jason (Jennifer) and Allen; and grandchildren Connor, McKenna, Luke, Owen, Elizabeth and Riley. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Fannie, brother Rupert (Phyllis) and sister Doreen (Arthur). The family will cherish Robert’s memory at a private service. Urn Bearer is Connor with Elizabeth, Luke, Riley, Owen and McKenna as Honorary Urn Bearers. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada - MB Branch, PO Box 20077, Bdn South PO, Brandon, MB R7A 6Y8.

Evie and I are very sorry for your loss.
Bobby and I go back a long way, as you know.
Although we have not spent a lot of time together since you and Bobby moved to Brandon, we did spend (and work) together a lot back in Fleming country . Many good times and pranks, just ask Evie.
We did get to know your great family in latter years and Bob was always proud to talk about them.
Bob always took great pleasure in teasing our daughters, Gina and Michele, and he'll be fondly remembered.
We will miss him.

Wendy and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time and I share your sadness in the loss of Bobby. Growing up in Fleming and Bobby was always part of our lives in hockey and Ball, so many great memories and stories. Be strong, stay well and cherish the memories.
